Celebrating Hawke’s Bay’s locally grown music in our local halls, we bring you three extraordinary artists.

First up tonight we have Kenya M Boerman. Kenya is a 17-year-old singer/songwriter with a unique voice that has a hint of grunge and soft country rock. In 2020, Kenya was runner up in the prestigious Rockquest Solo/Duo competition. She has already earned a reputation as an impressive live performer, having played numerous high-profile events. Kenya has released her first single, ‘Let Go’ and is currently on the way to releasing a new single very soon. It marks the official debut of what promises to be an exciting musical journey ahead.

Scarlett Eden is a NZ raised singer songwriter, born in London town, who delivers a mixture of Soul and R&B with her own street inspired twist. Performing with her talented band Scarlett has a reputation for captivating live performances. Her latest single Real Life features on the Hot NZ Chart, and she has just completed recording her latest single. Her Band is made up of Aaron Sankey on drums, Henry Alexander on guitar and Scott Brough on bass.

Arahi is trailblazing his way through Aotearoa, a rising star amongst our nation’s best and brightest original artists. Arahi channels his artistic soul and mastery of his craft to juxtapose classic and contemporary sound with an eclectic, eccentric twist. Although Arahi stands on the shoulders of rock and roll legends, there is an unmistakable connection to whenua running through his work. This is evident in Arahi’s latest project ‘Te Tokotoru’ - a high energy trio delivering thunderous grooves through an electric Maori lens. Arahi fronts ‘Te Tokotoru’ on lead electric guitar and vocals with William Devine (Tropical Downbeat Orchestra, Revolutionary Arts Ensemble) on bass and Iraia Whakamoe (The Nudge, Fly My Pretties) on drums. With having headline shows at Toi Toi with the HB Arts Festival, to national tours and ongoing collaborations with artists around the country, Arahi is clearly the latest in a long line of extraordinary musicians who consider Hawke’s Bay home.

With three great musical acts, a bar offering local wines & beer, inexpensive wholesome meals, and the comradery of your local community, this will be a night to gather together and celebrate what is wonderful about Hawke’s Bay.
